The Kingdom of Morocco and Mauritius signed a non-double taxation agreement on the 25 November 2015. For Vishnu Lutchmeenaraidoo, Minister of Finance, this bilateral agreement will strengthen the economic ties between the two countries and shows Mauritius’ to widen its spread in Africa.
The Minister of Finance pointed out that an important Moroccan delegation will soon be conducting an exploration mission in Ghana. Hence this agreement will facilitate discussion at government-to-government levels to develop business opportunities on the continent.
The Ambassador of the Kingdom of Morocco in Mauritius, Mohammed Amar has announced the opening of an embassy in Mauritius and the exemption of visas for Mauritians to travel to Morocco. He also said that this agreement paves the way for broader cooperation in sectors such as tourism.
