Mauritius Airport wins best in Africa award

The Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam (SSR) International Airport in Mauritius was awarded best airport in Africa according to the 2015 Airport Service Quality (ASQ) awards.

The Airport Service Quality (ASQ) Awards recognize and reward the best airports in the world according to ACI's ASQ passenger satisfaction survey. They represent the highest possible accolade for airport operators and are an opportunity to celebrate the commitment of airports worldwide to continuously improving the passenger experience.

The innovative and stand-out qualities of Mauritius SSR International Airport helped it win the award following an in-depth 550,000 passenger survey that looked at satisfaction levels at more than 300 airports across 80 countries worldwide, last year. Passengers were asked for their views on airport facilities, security, retail and airport access, with 34 key service indicators taken into account.
